How I handle your info.
This page covers nicktylertattoo.com, my request, booking and consent forms, the texts and emails I send, and my free guide for tattoo artists. I’m one artist running a private studio, so the short version is: I collect what I need to book and tattoo you, I don’t sell it, and you can ask me to delete it.
What I collect.
- Tattoo requests. Your name, phone, email and Instagram handle, your idea, placement, size and reference photos.
- Bookings. Your appointment and deposit. Card payments go through Stripe, and I never see or store your full card number.
- Consent forms. Your name, date of birth, contact details, a photo of your ID, your answers to the health questions and your signature.
- Private events and the free guide. What you enter in those forms. For the guide that’s your first name, email and, if you share it, your Instagram handle.
- Messages. What you send me by text, Instagram, Facebook or email.
- Site visits. Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel use cookies to record which pages you visit, how you found the site and basic device details. The guide pages for artists use Google Analytics only.
How I use it.
- To answer your request, book you, and send the texts and emails that go with your appointment: confirmations, reminders, your prep page and aftercare.
- To send occasional messages you can stop anytime, like a monthly letter or a birthday text with an offer. The birthday text uses the date of birth from your consent form.
- If you signed up for the free guide, to email you the guide and the five short emails that come with it.
- To keep the records a tattoo studio is required to keep.
- To see how people find the site and whether my ads are working.
Texts.
If you give me your number, I’ll text you about your request and your appointments. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop, or HELP for help.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your text opt-in and consent are never shared with anyone.
Your choices.
- Reply STOP to any text, or use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email.
- Ask to see, fix or delete your information by emailing nick@nicktylertattoo.com. Some records, like signed consent forms, may have to be kept for a set time.
- Block or clear cookies in your browser, use Google’s Analytics opt-out, or change your ad settings with Meta.
How long I keep it.
Request and booking details stay on file while they’re useful for your future sessions. Signed consent forms stay on file as the record of your tattoo. Guide signups stay on my list until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete them. I use reasonable safeguards, but no system is perfectly secure.
Age.
You have to be 18 to get tattooed in New York, and this site isn’t meant for anyone under 13.
Changes and questions.
If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. Questions about your information: nick@nicktylertattoo.com.
